Bac Ninh has 4 athletes participating in ASIAD 19

The 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19) will take place from September 23 to October 8, in Hangzhou (China), with the slogan "Heart to Heart, @Future"

This is a major sporting event held every 4 years, with important significance in promoting relationships, solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding between continental countries as well as an opportunity for athletes to show off their talents and improve their sports achievements. This Congress has the participation of more than 12,500 athletes and nearly 5,000 officials from 45 countries and territories on the continent. Athletes will compete in 40 sports (61 disciplines and 481 contents).

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation will attend ASIAD 19 with 504 members, including 337 athletes competing in 31/40 sports (202/483 contents of the Congress), striving to achieve 2 to 5 gold medals in sepak takraw, shooting, Chinese chess, karate and boxing; At the same time, set the target of having many athletes meet or pass qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games.

At ASIAD 19, Bac Ninh sports have 4 athletes summoned to compete for the Vietnamese sports delegation, including: Nguyen Van Duong, Nguyen Manh Cuong (Boxing); Tran Thi Anh (Wrestling); Trinh Van Vinh (Weightlifting). These are all excellent athletes of Bac Ninh sports at the present time, expected to shine at this Congress, especially boxer Nguyen Van Duong who won an official ticket to attend the 2020 TOKYO Olympics.
