
Green Star CRE Energy Plant officially puts into operation
In the morning of November 1, in Phu Lang commune (Que Vo town), the Green Star CRE Energy Plant (GCEP) - the first waste power plant was completed and officially put into operation in Bac Ninh.

Bac Ninh participants at the Ceremory were Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The factory is invested by a joint venture of Green Star Environmental Company Limited and Chosun Refractory Engineering Company (Korea) with a total cost of 33 million USD; It has the function of treating industrial and home waste, with a capacity of 180 tons of garbage per day and night. Power generation capacity is 6.1MW. The factory was started in July 2020, and by August 2022, it has conducted test run and connected to the national power grid through a 35kV line connected to BA 110kV Que Vo 2 Station.
The factory officially put into operation contribute to environmental protection and capable of providing electricity to the locality about 40 million kWh/year.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai acknowledged and praised the determination and efforts of the investor who built and put the factory into official operation. In the coming time, he requested the investor to operate the Plant in stable, safe, and effective, ensuring that waste sources after treatment meet Vietnam's environmental standards; strictly implement the contents of the granted Environmental Permit; implement good remuneration regimes for workers as well as pay more attention to local social security issues.
